Terms and Conditions
Junior Doctors Limited is a private limited company which aims to provide an enjoyable and safe camp for all participants. In order to facilitate this, all bookings are subject to terms and conditions. By booking with Junior Doctors Limited, you, the customer, agree to all terms and conditions.
a) Bookings must be paid in full. No deposits are taken and no places can be held without full payment. Places are allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
b) Class size is limited as advertised. Therefore, unfortunately, we are unable to accept a student onto the camp who requires closer supervision.
c) Venue location is subject to change at any stage prior to commencement of the camp. However, you will be notified via email once any changes have been made. If the venue is changed more than 10km from the original planned location, you will be offered full refund if you so wish.
d) Groups within the camp require a minimum of 10 people per group for the camp to be run. Full refunds will be provided should this minimum requirement not be met.
e) By booking with Junior Doctors limited, the parent/guardian gives permission for student to participate in all camp activities unless explicitly stated via email.
f) All relevant student medical details must be disclosed at the time of booking. In cases where prescribed medications are required by the student (e.g. insulin), the student must be capable of administering and managing same.
g) Bookings are accepted by Junior Doctors Limited on the basis that all details provided by the customer are accurate and true.
2. Cancellations by the customer
a) Refunds will only be given if a cancellation is made more than one month prior to the camp commencement date. All refunds are subject to a 20% charge. No refunds will be made less than one month from commencement date of the camp, except in exceptional cases which are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Directors.
Note: This does not affect your statutory rights.
b) Cancellations must be completed via email.
a) Camps start and finish as per times advertised. No responsibility will be taken for students outside of these times.
b) Students own lunches should be brought. Students will not be permitted to leave the premises within the times advertised. Lunches are not provided by Junior Doctors Limited.
c) Camp content will be tailored to each group and the stage of the group and therefore there may be variances in content delivered depending on the booking.
d) Camps are subject to Public Liability Insurance being granted. Failure to attain Public Liability Insurance will result in the camp being cancelled. Junior Doctors Limited will refund the full amount to customers in this case. Junior Doctors Limited accepts no responsibility for expenses otherwise incurred by the customer.
e) Due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. damage to venue), the camp may be cancelled at short notice. In this circumstance, Junior Doctors Limited will refund the full amount, or part thereof, to the customer. Junior Doctors Limited accepts no responsibility for expenses otherwise incurred by the customer.
4. Students & Parents/Guardians
a) Students and Parents/Guardians are expected to behave in a mannerly fashion in all dealings with Junior Doctors Limited and the staff and customers of Junior Doctors Limited. Disruptive, disrespectful, aggressive, abusive, violent behaviour, inappropriate sexual behaviour or foul language will not be tolerated and will result in immediate dismissal from the camp. No refund will be given at this point.
b) Bullying is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate dismissal from the camp. No refund will be given at this point.
c) Staff faculty instructions are expected to be adhered to at all times for health and safety purposes. Non-adherence to faculty instruction will result in dismissal from the camp. No refund will be given at this point.
d) The consumption of alcohol, illegal drugs or smoking is prohibited. Failure to abide by this rule will result in immediate dismissal from the camp. No refund will be given.
e) Junior Doctors Limited does not accept responsibility or liability for the possessions of students and will not be responsible or liable for possessions lost, damaged or stolen during the camp. Students should therefore not bring large quantities of money or valuable items to the course.
a) All mentors/teachers are qualified medical doctors who have practised as such in the Republic of Ireland.
b) The relationship between student/customer and our staff is that of student and teacher. Our staff are not permitted, insured or indemnified to act as your doctor, to offer medical advice or to provide treatment for any medical conditions (outside of the emergency situation).
6. Medical Attention
a) As previously mentioned, all medical conditions, medications and allergies must be disclosed in writing, at the time of booking.
b) As previously mentioned, students with medical conditions must be in a position to fully manage their medical conditions and required medications for the duration of the camp.
c) As previously mentioned, Junior Doctors Limited aims to provide an educational/entertainment camp and is not operating in a capacity to provide medical advice.
d) By booking onto a camp with Junior Doctor Limited, the parent/legal guardian agrees for basic first aid (e.g. minor cut) to be administered for minor ailments by an appropriately qualified person.
e) By booking onto a camp with Junior Doctors Limited, the parent/guardian agrees that in the case of an emergency, emergency services will be alerted. The parent/legal guardian will also be alerted. The parent/legal guardian agrees that in the interim, life-saving/urgent immediate management may be initiated by a suitably qualified member of staff, within their competency level, bearing in mind that the staff member is working in an emergent capacity*.
*Note; while all teachers/mentors are qualified medical doctors, they may not be fully competent in a particular emergent situation e.g. paediatric seizures, and therefore, their management will be only within their competency range until emergency services arrive, as regulated by the medical council.
7. Data Protection and Intellectual Property
a) Any data gathered by Junior Doctors Limited, via the website or otherwise, will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
b) The website, or any of the content of the website may not be used, replicated or reproduced without the express consent of both Directors of Junior Doctors Limited. Any unauthorised use of the website or the content of the website may violate intellectual property laws.
c) The camps, or any of the content used during the class may not be used, replicated or reproduced without the express consent of both Directors of Junior Doctors Limited. Any unauthorised use of the content of the camps may violate intellectual property laws.
a) Junior Doctors Limited will not be liable for any injury, loss, claim, damage, or any specil, exemplary, punitive, incidental or consequential damages of any kind arising from any of the following;
i. use of the website or its content
ii. change of venue
iii. cancellation of the course for whatever reason
iv. lost, stolen or damaged possessions
